A new student has arrived in your neighborhood. The student is not from the area and is just about as disconnected from the culture of the school/community as you can imagine.

Explain whether or not you think there would be any benefits to having a relationship (connection of any kind, not just friendship or dating) with this person. What kind of positives or negatives could you see to making a connection?

Include:

Explain the benefits of getting to know the person. List possible outcomes. They may be Positives or Negatives.

Most people find it hard to make new friends, especially in new surroundings or areas. Entering a new neighborhood can be exciting for most, but can bring its own problems for others.

Meeting and making friends with someone that is new to your neighborhood is a friendly gesture to make the person feel more comfortable and warm in their new environment. Making new friends is always good as they may come to your help in some way or the other in the future. Making friends with people in your society or neighborhood is a great thing as they would also come to your help in times of need. Thus having a relationship with a new member of your society is beneficial.

But again, as the saying goes "there is something bad in everything good" , there are few negative parts that you might encounter in a relationship with a new person. One must consider the fact that the new person to the society is still a stranger. Not much is known about the person or his or her backgrounds. The person you meet might seem to be kind and friendly, but  things can change suddenly and unexpectedly.

This is why people must maintain their relationship in a secure manner. Don't hesitate to make new friends, but one must understand the person and his or her background before creating a strong relationship with them.

Hope this was helpful!
