according to the question the speed of the light in a vacuum is one unit
i.e 3×10^8 m/s = 1 unit .

time = t = 8min 20sec = (8×60)s+20s = 480s+20s = 500s

velocity = displacement/time

V = d/t

d = Vt

d = 1 × 500

d = 500 unit

so ,correct answer is 3) 500

Distance between the Sun and the Earth: = Speed of light × Time taken by light to cover the distance

Given that in the new unit,

speed of light = 1 unit

Time taken, t = 8 min 20 s = 500 s

Distance between the Sun and the Earth = 1 × 500 = 500 units

I hope, this will help you
