500 Units

Given:

Time = 8 min 20 seconds

Converting time in terms of seconds:

= 8 x 60 + 20

= 480 + 20

= 500 seconds

The Speed of light in Vacum is unity

= 1 unit/second

To Find:

Distance between the sun and Earth

Formula used to find distance:

Distance = Speed x Time

Substituting the values which we know into this formula we get:

Distance = 1 x 500

Distance = 500 units

Therefore, the distance between the sun and earth is 500 units.

Given,

Time = 8min 20seconds. = 500 seconds

To Find:-

.Distance between sun and earth.

Calculations:-

Distance = Speed×Time

The speed of light in vacuum= 1unit/sec

Time = 500

Distance = 1×500

=500units

Speed:- Speed is the distance traveled per unit of time. It is how fast an object is moving.

  • Speed is the scalar quantity that is the magnitude .

  • Speed is a vector quantity.

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

  • SI unit of speed is m/s

Speed of Light :-

  • Speed of light in vacuum is denoted by "C".

  • It is a universal physical constant.
