NBirenSinghManipur State government has decided to set up a new 200 bedded Quarantine Centre within 15 days as a part of arrangement made to contain spreading of Novel Corona Virus disease in the State.
Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri N. Biren Singh today inspected the site for construction of new Quarantine Centre at Langthabal Phumlou Loukol in Imphal West District. The new centre is to be set up in addition to the existing centres being opened in different districts of the State.
The centre would be constructed in one hectare of land and Chief Minister instructed officials concerned to construct the centre within 15 days. The Deputy Commissioner of concerned district would begin survey of land immediately.
Meanwhile, in wake of the spread of Novel Corona Virus in Manipur, the State government has instructed all the paramedical staff members, who retired in the last 3 years, to report Health Authority of their district immediately. The step was taken as part of preparations in the state to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.
Director of Health Services, Manipur issued an order to this effect this afternoon. The authorities will further submit the name, mobile numbers and addresses of retired paramedics within 31st March, 2020.
