Let the tens digit be y

and ones digit be x

x + y = 8

- 1

10y + x + 18 = 10x + y

9(x - y) = 18

 x - y = 2

-2

from 1 & 2

x = 5

y = 3

the original no. is

35

thank you :))

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be 10x+y

1st equation

x+y = 8

2nd equation

10y+x = 10x+y+18

9y–9x = 18

y–x = 2

Equate 1st and 2nd equation

x+y = 8

–x+y = 2

2y = 10

y = 5

x+y = 8

x+5 = 8

x = 3

The numbers are

For 10x+y = 30+5 = 35

For 10y+x = 50+3 = 53

Hope this helps you
