let the two digit no be 10x + y according to the question:4x = y also,(10x + y ) - 54 = 10y + xon solving this 9x - 9y = 54taking 9 common:9( x-y) = 54substituting 4x = yx-4x= 6-3x = 6x= -2y = 8so the no is 28 or -28
