Let the one part is x

Another part will be x + 6

Now according to the question,

6:5 = 6/5 so,

 \frac{x + 6}{x }  =  \frac{6}{5}  \\  \\  \implies 5(x + 6) = 6x \\  \\  \\  \implies 5x  + 30 = 6x \\  \\  \\  \implies  \boxed{x = 30}

Now, if one smaller number is 30 larger one will be 30+6 = 36.

VERIFICATION :-

If 30 is one part and 36 is other then

30/36 = 5/6 as it is given in the question.

So our answer is error free.
