Answer:

The word nobility has been used to describe the 'upper classes' of Europe. This usually meant nobles had better education, manners, language, clothes than the normal peasants.

The word has been drawn down nowadays to describe someone as noble, meaning someone who is a just, kind person, with good manners and someone who speaks well.

It is still used to differentiate between good and bad people.
