We know that,
The coefficient of real expansion=V2-V1/
V1(t2-t1)
Given,
V2=3/4 of volume
V1=2/3 of volume
Let,take volume as x
Then,V2=3x/4
V1=2x/3
t1=20°C
t2=100°C
Therefore,the coefficient of real expansion:
=(3x/4-2x/3)/(2x/3(100-20))
=(9x-8x/12)/(2x/3(80))
=(x/12)/(160x/3)
=x/12*3/160x
=1/12*3/160
=1/4*1/160
=1/640
