EDUCATION MESSIAH
Tue December 12
The jhuggis of Azad Basti, Joda, Keonjhar has found a new messiah enlightening the dim lights in those humble abodes, by providing free education to the children of the tribal community.
Azad Basti has seen a new hope to teach their kids, who were before a month roaming aimlessly on the streets, doing nothing and adding to the illiteracy rate of the area. They have now been enrolled in the school started by the Kinaara NGO, and are being taught free of cost. The NGO has started this programme on a full time funding basis, and has been planning to approach the local government for aide, by partnering with the local government, but only after showing some desired results by the students, which would prove that they are on the right track, and have been leaving no stone un turned to scoop up the down trodden, and involve them in the main stream educational system, by providing quality education.
Hope Disuza, chief coordinator of the NGO and and NRI, has invested the basics in the organization, and has promised to continue funding, till the school acquires a permanent status and an affiliation by the government.
They will also extend partnerships to private owners, who can partner to own the school, so that it can run smoothly. Karan Shetty, an experienced social worker is coordinating the local whereabouts and carrying out all the necessary work being done for running the school. Atleast now we have a light of hope in the arena of education extending help towards the needy.
