Kwashiorkor is mainly caused by protein deficiency,and occurred in infants and children.Reduced plasma protein leads to ascit’s and oedema in the lower limbs,liver damage,loss of weight,loss of pigmentation of skin,hair accompanied by listlessness,apathy and irritability.
