chromosomes are made up of DNA histones. They contain the genetic character another i.e DNA. They are formed from Chromatin Network, a tangled mass of thread like structure, which after cell division condenses to form chromosomes. The chromosomes are always in pair as shown in the above figure. Every organism has a particular number of chromosome.
