Let parts are x and (54 - x),


According to the question,

10x + 22(54 - x) = 780

10x + 1188 - 22x = 780

-12x = 780 - 1188

-12x = - 408

12x = 408

$x = \frac{408}{12} \\ \\ x = 34$

Numbers are :

x = 34
(54 - x) = 54 - 34 = 20


Their difference = 34 - 20 = 14
