Solution :-

Given ,

  • A number added to its ¾ th = 91

We need to find ,

  • Find the number

Let the number we need to find be x .

By the given question "a number added to its 3/4 th equal to 91 " that means , by assuming the number as x . x added to three - fourth of x equal to 91 .

In mathematical form

x + 3x/4 = 91

Simplifying

→ ( 4x + 3x )/4 = 91

→ 7x/4 = 91

→ 7x = 91 × 4

[ °.° Four is transposed to RHS the number which is dividing the number at LHS , if it goes to RHS it becomes multiplied the number at RHS ]

→ 7x = 364

→ x = 364 ÷ 7

[ °.° 7 transposed to RHS with the similar condition ]

x = 52

Hence , x = 52
