Answer:

39

Step-by-step explanation:

Let units place = y

Let tens place = x

Number = 10x+y

Given that A no consist of two digits the sum of digits is 12

So, x+y=12

The unit digit when divided by the ten digit gives the result as 3

So,

y=3x

x+y=12

x+3x=12

4x=12

x=3

y=3x=3(3)=9

Number = 10x+y=10(3)+9=39

∴ The number is 39

let the no. be a and b., a< b

now, the no. is 10a + b

given,

a+b = 12

a = 3b

therefore,

3b + b = 12

4b = 12

b = 3.

a= 9

the no. is 10× 3 + 9
