and the big number is....y

now,the number is y×10+x

according to the question

x+y= 12...........(1)

or, 10y+x-36=10x+y

》10y+x-10x-y=36

》 9y-9x=36

》 9(x-y)=36

》 x-y=36/9

》 x-y=4..........(2)

now,(1)-(2)

x+y=12

- x-y= 4

2y= 8

》 y=8/2

》 y=4

now,

》x+y=12 {from. ..(1)}

》x+4=12 (y=4)

》 x=12-4

》 x=8

so the number is

10y+x= 10×4+8=48
