A number consists of 2 digits. Sum of the digits is 9. If 9 is subtracted from the number, The digits are reversed. Find the number.

Let unit digit be=y

and, ten's digit be=x

.: the original number=10x+y

(According to the question)

x+y=9........(I)

Reversed number=10y+x (as the digits got interchanged)

.: (10x+y)-9=10x+y

=>10x+y-9=10x+y

=>on solving=>x-y=1..........(II)

Therefore adding eq (I) and (II)

We get x=5;

And y =4

So the original number=10x+y

=54(ans)
