Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be 10x+y

Given,

x + y = 11 ....(i)

According to the question

10x + y + 9 = 10y + x

→10x - x + y - 10y = -9

→9x - 9y = -9

→x - y = 1 ....(ii) ( As 9 is common we divide 9 in the R.H.S)

Substitute eqs. (i) in (ii)

y = 11 - x

In (ii)

11 - x - x = 1

→ 11 - 2x = 1

→ -2x = 1 - 11

→ -2x = -10

→ 2x = 10

→ x = 5

Therefore if x = 5,

5 + y = 11

y = 11 - 5

y = 6

So,

10x + y = 56
