⇒ x-($\frac{5}{100}$×x = 3800
⇒ x-$\frac{x}{20}$ = 3800
⇒ 19x = 3800×20
          = 76000
⇒ x =$\frac{7600}{19}$
      = 4000

                  OR (if it is 5)
⇒x-5 = 3600
⇒ x = 3600-5
       = 3595
