The answer is:-

Let the one number be x

So,

ATQ,

The other number will be x + 26

 x + x + 26 = 54

=>  2x + 26 = 54

=>  2x = 54 - 26

=>  2x = 28

=>  x = \frac{28}{2}

=> x = 14

Than,

x + 26 = 14 + 26 = 40

Hope it helps you

Thanks

\mathfrak{\green{ANSWER:}}

LET FIRST NO. BE X.

SO OTHER NO. = X + 26

SUM OF BOTH NUMBERS = 54 ( GIVEN )

A.T.Q

x + x + 26 = 54
2x = 54 - 26
2x = 28
x = 14
SO FIRST NO. = X = 14

SECOND NO. = X + 26 = 14 + 26 = 40
