Solution :-

Given : A number has two digits the digit at ten place is four times the digit at unit place.

Let the digit of unit place be x

Digit of ten place = 4x

Number = 4x × 10 + x

When the digit of number reversed = x × 10 + 4x

According to the question,

=> (4x × 10 + x) - 54 = x × 10 + 4x

=> 40x + x - 54 = 10x + 4x

=> 41x - 14x = 54

=> 27x = 54

=> x = 54/27 = 2

Therefore,

Number = 4x × 10 + x

= 4 × 2 × 10 + 2

= 80 + 2 = 82

Hence,

The number = 82

\huge\textbf{Answer:-}

  • Let y be the digit of unit place.

  • Let 4y be the Digit of ten place 4y × 10 + y is the Number.

  • It will be x × 10 + 4x when the digit is reversed.

From the question:-

⇒(4y × 10 + y) - 54 = y × 10 + 4y

⇒40y + y - 54 = 10y + 4y

⇒41y - 14x = 54

⇒27y = 54y = 54/27 = 2

So,

⇒4y × 10 + y4 × 2 × 10 + 2

⇒80 + 2 = 82

Therefore, 82 is the Number
