Let the second number be 'x'.

Then, first number is 2/5 times the second number.

=> first number
= 2/5 × x
= 2x/5

Now, their sum
= x + (2x/5)
= (5x+2x)/5
= 7x/5



But, their sum is 70 (According to Question)

Then,
7x/5 = 70
=> x = 70 × 5/7
=> x = 10 × 5
=> x = 50
