A number is 2/5 times the another number . If their sum is 70 , find the number.

so the other number is 2x/5

sum is 70

so,

2x/5+x=70

LCM of 5 and 1 = 5

2x+5x/5 = 70

7x/5 = 70

7x = 70*5

7x = 350

x = 350/7

x = 50
