SOLUTION:
Let the larger number be 'x'
and,
Smaller Number be '(x – 3)'
We have given that, A number is 3 less than another number. By adding 17 to twice the larger number becomes thrice the smaller number.
According to question:-
On putting the given values in the formula, we get
- Bigger number = x = 26
- Smaller number = x – 3 = 26 – 3 = 23
❝ Hence, the two numbers are 26 and 23 respectively. ❞
