S O L U T I O N :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}

A number is 3 times the another number. If 15 is added to both the numbers, then one of the number becomes twice that of the other number.

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}

Let the another number be x & let the one number be 3x respectively.

A/q

\longrightarrow\tt{(3x + 15 ) = 2(x + 15)}

\longrightarrow\tt{3x + 15 = 2x + 30}

\longrightarrow\tt{3x-2x = 30-15}

\longrightarrow\bf{x= 15}

Thus,

The one number = 3x = 3 × 15 = 45 .

The another number = x = 15 .
