GIVEN THAT

• A number is 6 more than the other and the sum of these two number 32 .

SOLUTION

• Let a number = x

so other number = x+6

• Sum of these two number is 32

x + x + 6 = 32 \\ \implies \: 2x = 32 - 6 \\ \implies \: 2x = 26 \\ \implies \: x = \frac{\cancel2\cancel6}{\cancel2} = 13

So The smaller number = 13
