Let the one number be x

Then the another will be 8+x

The sum of the two is 70=

x+80+x=2x+8

So the equation is = 2x+8=70

=>x=31

So the two numbers r =31 and x+8=39

Hope it helps:-):-):-):-):-):-)

Let the first number from that pair be a.

Since one number is a, other number should be 8 more than a, it means that the required pair numbers is ( a , a + 8 ).

It is,given that the sum of both the numbers is 70.

= > Sum of numbers = 70

= > a + ( a + 8 ) = 70

= > a + a + 8 = 70

= > 2a = 70 - 8

= > 2a = 62

= > a = 62 / 2

= > a = 31

Thus, required pair of numbers is

  • a = 31
  • a + 8 = 31 + 8 = 39.

Hence the required numbers are 31 and 39\:
