Heya mate! Here is your answer ✌☺☺

Let the 1st number be x

Given, a number is 8 more than the other = x + 8

Given, their sum is 70

According to the question,

x + x + 8 = 70

➾ 2x + 8 = 70

➾ 2x = 70 - 8

➾ 2x = 62

➾ x = \dfrac{62}{2}

➾ x = 31

1st number ➾ x

\sf{31}

2nd number ➾ x + 8

➾ 31 + 8

\sf{39}

∴ The numbers are 31 are 39 respectively

Hello my dear friend!!

Thanks for asking the question:)

...let’s go through the question which we will comprise of linear equation.

See,

Let the number be *x*

Therefore, according to the question.

The number is 8 more then it.

So the number is 8+x

So,

Their sum is given to us that is:-

x+x+8=70

=>2x=62

=>x=31————which is the first number.

So another number will be x+8=>31+8=39

Other number=39.

Therefore, now we can conclude with are question that. The numbers are 31 and 39 respectively.

Checking:-31+39=70...
