Let the number be x

A number is as much greater than 9 = x - 9

It is less than 59 by 59 - x


x - 9 = 59 - x

x + x = 59 + 9

2x = 68

x = 34 .

Therefore, The number is 34 .

number = ( sum of other numbers ) ÷ 2

Number = ( 59 + 9 ) ÷ 2

Number = 68 / 2

Number = 34

Let the required number is x ,

According to the question,

➡ 9 less than the Number = the number less than 59

▶ ( x - 9 ) = ( 59 - x )

▶ x - 9 = 59 - x

▶x = 34, Required number from both the methods is 34
