To find :  the probability of getting an even number​

Solution:

Number 2 to 12

S  = { 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 }

n(S) = 11

Even number

E = { 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12}

n(E) = 6

P(E) = n(E)/n(S)

= 6/11

Hence probability of getting an even number​ is 6/11
