let two digit number be 10x + y and it's reversed two digit be 10y + x

A number is consists of two digit whose sum is 5

so, x + y = 5
y = 5 - x..............(1)

when the digit is reversed the number becomes greater by nine

so, 10y + x = 10x + y + 9
10y - y = 10x - x + 9
9y = 9x + 9
9y = 9(x + 1)
y = x + 1................(2)

equate (1) and (2)
5 - x = x + 1
5 - 1 = x + x
2x = 4
x = 2 substitute in (1)
y = 5 - 2
y = 3

so the two digit number is 10x + y = 10*2 + 3 = 20 + 3 = 23
