a number is decreased by 11.11% & then increased by 11.11% the number so formed is 10 less than the original number. What was the original number?

2/9=22.22%

3/9=33.33%.so on..

let original number be x

it is decreased by11.11%i.e by 1/9th fraction.,

x-(1/9)x=8x/9...now it is increased by 11.11%

8x/9+1/9(8x/9)=80x/81..it is equal to original number -10..i.e,x-10

hence..80x/81=x-10..then x=810
