As per statement a number is divided into two parts, such that one part is 10 more than the other.

Let the first part of the number be x then the second part of the number is x + 10

According to the statement again, if the two parts are in the ratio 5 : 3, the number and the two parts to be calculated.

5 : 3 can be written as 5/3, Accordingly

x + 10 / x = 5 / 3

Cross multiplication

5x = 3x + 30

5x - 3x = 30

2x = 30

x = 30 / 2

x = 15

One part of the number is 15.

The other part is 10 more than one part, means

x + 10 = 15 + 10 = 25

The two parts are 15 and 25

And the number is x + x + 10 or 15 + 15 + 10= 40

Hey friend,

Here is the answer you are searching for,

Let One part be x,

=> Another part = (x+10),

Also given that,

(x+10)/x = 5/3

=> 3x+30 = 5x

=> 2x = 30

=> x = 30/2 = 15.

=> One number = x = 15.

=> Another number = (x+10) = 15+10 = 25.

Therefore,

Two numbers = 15,25.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
