Ratio =  5 : 3

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio

Ratio =  5x : 3x

Solve equation:

one part is 10 more than the other

5x - 3x = 10

2x = 10

x = 5

Find the number:

5x = 5(5) = 25

3x = 3(5) = 15

Answer: The two numbers are 25 and 15

Given

Ratio = 5:3.

Take the numbers as 5x and 3x .

Given

difference = 10.

5x - 3x = 10

2x = 10

X = 10/2

X = 5.

first number 5x = 5(5) = 25.

second number 3x = 3(5) = 15.

hence , the number is(25+15) = 40 .

two parts are 25 and 15.
