5 & 8 both are coprime. Therefore, a number which is divisible by both 5&8 , will also be divisible by the factors of their product and the product itself

i.e., the number which is divisible by both 5 & 8 is also divisible by 5×8=40 and it's factors i.e.,

40 = 1×2×2×2×5.

The factors of 40 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10 and 20 . So the number will be divisible by these factors also.
