Answer:

Let the 2 digit number be ab

sum is 8 ie. a+b=8

Decimal point between them ie a.b

double is 1 less than the interchanging of the digit ie.

a.b×2 = 1 - b.a

For 2 digit decimal number add up and give the sum as 8 possible pairs are (2.6) (1.7) (5.3) (5.2)

Except the 1st pair other pairs don't fulfill the conditions in the question. ie.

2.6 × 2 = 5.2

5.2 = 1 - 6.2

Thus 2.6 is the number.
