Find the decreased number:

• So the decreased number will be
• 100 - 30 = 70

Now the number increased number will be

• 40% of 70
• = 40% × 70
• = 40/100 × 70
• = 28
• Increased number = 70 + 28 = 98

Decreased percent will be

• 100 - 98 = 2
• 2/100 × 100
• = 2% ans
