 Hlo \: friend \: here \: is \: your \: answer.

Let the number be x
As number is increased by 20%
so now number = x + 20% of x
= x + 20 / 100 * x
= x + 1x / 5
= 5x / 5 + 1x / 5
= 6x / 5
Now this number is decreased by 15%
So now number = 6x / 5 - 15% of 6x / 5
= 6x / 5 - 15 / 100 * 6x / 5
= 6x / 5 - 9x / 50
= 60x - 9x / 50
= 51x / 50
There is an increase
Net Increase = 51x / 50 - x
= 51x - 50x / 50
= 1x / 50
Increase % = Net increase ÷ Origianal amount * 100
Increase % = 1x / 50 ÷ x * 100
= 1x / 50 * 1 / x * 100
= 2%
