Let the numbers be x and y

➥ According to given conditions;

➢ Number = Five more than Three times another number

➟ x = 3y + 5------ eq.1

➥ According to another condition;

➢ Difference between number = 103

➟ x - y = 103

➢ Putting eq.1 in this equation

➟ 3y + 5 - y = 103

➟ 2y = 103 - 5

➟ 2y = 98

➟ y = 49

➥ Putting y = 49 in eq.1

➢ x = 3×49 + 5

➟ x = 147 + 5

➟ x = 152

Hence,
