let the no be 100 and 20%of 100 is 20 and 100 +20 is 120

NOW,

20% of 120 is 24 and 120 - 24 is 96

NOW, decreased rate is 120 - 96 = 24

NOW, decreased percent is (24 / 120) ×100% which is equal to 20% ANSWER

Answer:

4%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no be x

Than,

It will increase by 20%

So the increase no will become = x+20%×x=6x/5

Now,

The increase no will be deacrease by 20%

Than,

The decrease no= 6x/5-20%×6x/5

=24x/25

Net decrease=x-24x/25

=x/25

Hence, percentage difference =x/25/x×100

=4%
