now increase 20 percent

new no.is

=120x/100=6x/5

now again decreased by 20 percent

so no.becomes..

=

 =  \frac{6x}{5}  \times  \frac{80}{100}  \\  =  \frac{24x}{25}  \\

now decreaseb in value is =x-(24x/25)=X/25

resultant decreased percentage.....

 \frac{ \frac{x}{25} }{x}  \times 100 = 4 \:  \: percent
