Original number = 125

Number after increment = 150

Increased value = 150 - 125

= 25

Using the formula,

 Percentage Increase = Total increment/Original value  × 100 %

% Increase = 25/125 × 100 %

∴ % Increase = 20 %

Hence, the percentage increased in number is 20 %.

Hope it helps.
