A number is such that it is as much greater than 84 as it is less than 108. find the number..

Let us assume the number is X. so the equation is. X-84=108-X X+X=108+84. 2X= 192. X=192/2. X=96 since 96 is (96-84=12) 12 more than 84 and (108-96=12)12 less than 108
