A number is three times another .If larger number is substracted from 60,the result is 2 times the smaller no. Find the numbers​

Let assume that x and y are 2 numbers

where ,

x is greater than y

Given

x = 3y (1)

x - 60 = 2y (2)

putting value of X in 2 eq

3y - 60 = 2y

y = 60

putting value of y in 1 eq

x = 2(60)

x = 120

y = 60
