A number leaves 5 as remainder when it is divided by 9. what will be the possible remainder when same number is divided by 18?​

Let us suppose x is that number,

so if it leaves a remainder of 2 when divided by 18, then x can be written as,

x = (18*n) + 2 , where n is a natural number.

So here 18 - Divisor ; n - quotient : remainder - 2

Now coming back to that equation, 18 can be written as 6*3,

So, x = (6*(3)*n) + 2, where n is a natural number.

So now we can consider 6 as divisor and 3n as quotient( 3n is always a natural number because n is, so it can be considered as a quotient ) and 2 as the remainder.

So to answer your question the remainder will be 2.
