Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Total Money Raised = Rs.400
  • Each boy giving as many 25 paise coins as there were boys ..

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Number of Boys = ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let us Assume That, Total Boys were x.

Than, X Boys give X coins of 25 Paise.

So,

1 Boy gives x coins of 25 Paise = 25x paise = Total

→ x Boys gives x coins of 25 Paise = 25x * x paise = Total Money raised .

Therefore,

25x² = 400 * 100 Paise

→ x² = 400 * 4

→ x² = 4 * 4 * 100

→ x² = 4² * 10²

→ x = 4 * 10

→ x = 40 .

Hence, Their were 40 Boys in the famine relief fund.
