Then x+y =8and required no 10y +x. number obtaining on reversing 10x +y =10y +x= 18. now we solve it 9x -9y =18. x - y =2 on adding eqn i and eqn ii x+y = 8+ x-y=2. 2x =10 .x = 5 now putting the value of x in eqn i our eqn i is x+y=8 so 5 + y= 8. then y= 8-5= 3 hence x=5 and y = 3
