x/2-x=23
×/2-×^2/2=23
(x-x^2)/2=23
23×2=(x-x^2)
×^2-x+46=0
^This is the quadratic eqn formed..
now u can use quadratic formula to find the ans...
x=[-b(+/-)root of (b^2 -4ac)]/2a
x=[-(-1)(+/-)root of ((-1)^2-4×1×46)]/2×1
x=[1(+/-)root of (1-184)]/2
x=[1(+/-)root of -183]/2
x=[1+root of 183]/2 AND x=[1- root of 183]/2
x=[1+13.52]/2 AND x=[1-13.52]/2
x=[14.52]/2 AND x=[-12.52]/2
x= 7.26 AND x= -6.26
