Answer:

240

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say number = x

fourth part of number = x/4

fifth part of number = x/5

Forth part exceed fifth part by 28

=> x/4 - x/5 = 28

Multiplying by 20 both side

=> 5x - 4x = 560

=> x = 560

Hence number = 560

As question is not very clear it can be

that sum of fourth & fifth part exceed third part by 28

Then

x/4 + x/5 - x/3 = 28

Multiplying by 60 both sides

=> 15x + 12x - 20x = 1680

=> 7x = 1680

=> x = 240

So 240 is the number

amitnrw: i think it would be x/4 + x/5 - x/3 = 28 => 15x + 12x - 20x = 1680 => 7x = 1680 => x = 240
omprakash2465: option is (a) 240 (b) 220 (c) 160 (d) 120 which is correct Ans
amitnrw: Option a
