let number be x.

x=3q+1 -----1

q=2p+1 -----2

eq 2 is possible only if q is odd,

so put q=1, 3,5,.....2n-1

if q=3

x=10

if 6 divides 10 ,it will leave reaminder as 4

if q=5

x=16

again remainder will be 4.

r0ckYnAv123: Hey
r0ckYnAv123: But how would we predict whether the quotient is odd or even
r0ckYnAv123: Why here q is taken as odd
r0ckYnAv123: Pls clear my doubt
